He is a past member of the Council, Municipality of Terrace Bay, Past Secretary Treasurer of the Thunder Bay Association of Pulp and Paper Mill Unions, this encompases most unions in the Paper Industry in this part of Ontario, He is a former member of the Terrace Bay Recreation Association and a'so presently on the Advisory Board for Trainable Retarded Children L.S.B.E. Peggy Helmink: | Peggy Helmink has lived | in Terrace Bay for the past 25 years. She has held executive positions on the Cancer Society, Local ally Retarded and the . Catholic Womens League. She is finishing thirteen years on the Roman Cath- olic Separate School Board, Ihe last seven years as Chairman of the Board . Peggy feels her experience working with people, budgets and red tape would be an asset to her as a public servant to the people of Terrace Bay. John Polachuk came to Terrace Bay twenty-one years ago to work for Kimberly-Clark where he is employed as a stationary engineer. He is married, with two children attending the publig school . : John is greatly interested in the way the town is run and feels that although he is inexperienced in council , he is a willing worker and will do his best to put forth his ideas and the wishes of the people. Rita McBride: Rita McBride has been a resident of Terrace Bay | since 1952. She received her education in Thunder Bay and locally and later taught at the elementary school level in both of these places. Through the years she served on the executives of the High School Student's Council - The Catholic Women's League. - the local Art Club - Ski Club and the L. A, to = Guides and Brownies. As a citizen and mother she is keenly interested in Education from every view point and offers herself as a candidate with sincerity and integrity. Ritas' very best wishes are extended to all the candidates in the forthcoming election. William Megraw: W. Megraw has lived in Terrace Bay for the past twenty-three years, is married with three children. Since coming to Terrace Bay he has served on the executive of many groups and organizations, some of which include, president of the ski club for six years, leadership in boy scouts for sixteen years, including two years as group committee chairman and was president of the Terrace Bay Band for two years. While never having been actively involved in municipal politics before, William Megraw would appreciate the opportunity to serve the citizens of Terrace Bay in the capacity of councillor. Leonard David Godin, Barrie, son of Mrs. Leo Godin, Schreiber, Receiv- ed his Bachelor of Arts Degree in Sociology at the Fall Convocation of Water loo Lutheran University. Len is a past graduate of Schreiber High School and Lakehead Teachers College LL and is presently employed by the Simcoe County Roman Catholic Separate School Board as the Principal of Our Lady of Grace School in Angus, Ontario.
