Two persons were charged under the Highway Traf- fic Act. Five motor vehicles were spot checked and caution ed for faulty equipment. Three charges were laid under the Liquor Control Act. Three transients were checked. A MESSAGE TO DOG OWNERS This is the time of the year when dogs are beginning to run in packs and, though your dog may give pleas- ure to you, it may be a pest to other residents in our community. Numerous complaints have been received by this department during the past two weeks with respect to dogs running 'oose. Wherever possible the owners have been contacted and requested to keep their dogs chained up. Unfortunately, this has not solved the problem and it would appear that many people just do not give a hoot about their neighbours and efforts to hire a local dog catcher have failed.
