A letter from Mr. Dave Henderson, Community Planning Officer, Department of Treasury, outlined his proposals for the Advisory Planning Committee. A meeting of the committee is to be held November Ist. The traffic control situation at the new Legion Hall was discussed as council feels the exit way may cause a hazardous situation. Reeve Cavanaugh outlined a program of events for the Lieutenant Governor's visit to Terrace Bay on November 10th. The Hon. Ross MacDonald will be greeted at the High School and hopefully an honour guard of Brownies, Guides and Boy Scouts will be formed. A social hour and dinner will later be held in the Terrace Bay Motor Hotel with invited guests to greet His Honour. LIBRARY NEWS The Terrace Bay Public Library will be holding a Projectionist Workshop for 16 mm. projectors, any= one interested in taking this course should leave their name at the library or Recreation Centre. The library is looking for a mature person know=- ledgeable in basic reading skills to conduct a read- ing program for ages 3 and 4 years. The reading pro= gram to be conducted in the library every Saturday morning 10:30 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. W.O.T.M. MEETING The regular meeting of the Women of the Moose Chapter 1426 was held recently with Senior Regent Sadie Benko chairing the meeting. Mrs. Betty Sweet, a member of Chapter 950, Duncan, B.C. was wel=- = comed as a guest. Recorder Stella Sadowick read the minutes of the | previous and executive meeting and gave the finan- cial report. | Report on the highlights of the Moose Convention held in Thunder Bay on Oct. 6,7, and 8th was given by Senior Regent Sadie Benko who attended along with co-workers Mary lhnatko, Clara Gould, Alma Mogquin and Collegian Anne Didura. Discussion took place about a smorgasborg and dance to be held on November 18th with more to be discussed at next meeting. Standing and special committees gave their reports Lunch was served by Anne Stachiw, Yvonne Le- Clair and Alma Moquin. Alice Werzynski and her committee will be in charge of next chapter night. _--
