On being so far from the hospital which would involve a fifty mile return trip to attend meetings in all kinds of weather, the ladies present decided to put on a bi ngo in the spring as the weather turning colder, fewer people would take part. Mrs. Wilde and Mrs. Todesco displayed articles and novelties that would be easy to make for the Tuck Shop. Mrs. Todesco asked for donations of yarn for the knitters and suggested homemade candy as well as books, magazines in good condition, books and safe toys for the childrens ward, Being such a distance from the hospital, the ladies thought that they could not volunteer for any services in the hospital but would assist in anyway possible otherwise.
