NOVEMBER 1, 1972 TERRACE BAY NEWS PAGE 13 FISH DERBY AWARDS NIGHT AT LEGION The Terrace Bay Royal Canadian Legion, Branch 223, held their annual Awards Night on Friday, October 20th and presented trophies and prizes to various winners. Max Mikilok, of Molson's Breweries, presented beautiful club bags to the five top winners in each department. First prize for Lake Trout went to Howie Cooke, 6 Ibs., 8 ozs.; Lynn Merkley, 4 lbs., 12 oz.;Henry Duriez won the Rainbow Trout division and was pre- sented with a club bag from Max. Henry also won the Memorial Trophy, presented by Mrs. J. Lawrence for the first time in memory of Jim Lawrence, for the largest Rainbow. Henry's Rainbow weighed in at 5 lbs., 13 ozs. First prize for Speckled Trout went to Bill Hanley, 2 Ibs., 7 ozs.; 2nd prize, Henry Duriez, 2 lbs., 2 ozs For Pickerel, the first prize was won by Hec McLeod. Second prize went to Jim Beddard. Winner of the club bag from Molson's for the larg - est Pike went to Wilf Mallais, 20 lbs. and to Maurice Dozois, second prize in Pike, 12 lbs., 4 ozs. The Award for the best lady fisherman went to Elizabeth McLeod. Charlie Koski attended as Master of Ceremonies.
