Mrs. Sam Boyd, Sr. is presently a patient in the General Hospital . Mrs. Charlotte Ross, of Shils, Man. was a recent guest at the home of Marge and Sax Lundberg. Lil and Johnny Green of Thunder Bay with cousins Margaret and Jack Green, of Allin, Stirling, Scot- land were week-end guests at the Lundbergs. Heather and Brian Gavin with daughter Kristine, were week-end visitors with Mr. and Mrs. S. Boyd Jr. and visited with other relatives and friends in town. Bruce Lundberg has returned home from a visit with Edie and Ed Belliveau in Nackawic, N.B. Sharon, Krista Lee and Jeffrey are staying on for a little longer visit. Cathy and John Waddington, Janet, Debbie and Andrew, of Oakville, spent a brief holiday last week with Cathy's parents, Mr. and Mrs. John Ferrier. Mrs. S. Baldwin of Widness, Lancashire, England is visiting with her niece Mrs. Vera Kennedy and Ed Kennedy and Mrs. Baldwin's brother Mr. W. Dorning. PLAYGROUND NEWS Playground holds successful Shuffleboard Tournament Last Monday and Wednesday evenings a shuffle- board tournament was held in the large meeting room of the Recreation Centre for people 13 years of age and over. Twelve entries with two people per team played off in an elimination round. Winners of the A event were Jim Caron and Terry Szpak, while John Graham and Don Hamilton placed first in the B Event. continued page 6
