MARCH 23, 1972 PAGE 15 THE ANGEL'S HARP The grade eight students at Holy Angels School sponsored a bake sale recently. Proceeds are going toward their graduation in June. Surprises included a variety of goodies, guessing games, shuffle board and dart games. All the pupils had an opportunity to participate in the afternoon events. Pictured below are some of the Student s involved in the Bake Sale. Recent visitors to our school were Mr. Forgues, principal of Lake Superior High Schoo |, who spoke to the grade 8 students about possible courses that they would be involved in when beginning high school next year. The talk was most interesting for the students and it gave them many guide lines as to what courses would be suitable for them as individuals. Another welcome guest was Mr. Jack Stokes. Mr. Stokes is no stranger to our school and the students enjoy hearing of the many incidents and interesting information surrounding the life of a member of Parl- iament. Two of the primary teachers, Mrs. Diane McNally and Sister Carol MgKerrol presented a program on classroom use of the television. The parents watched a video tape of a mathematics pro- gtam and then played the part of a group of 6 year old students as Mrs. McNally questioned them on various aspects of the program using the same meth- odology and material as would be used in an actual classroom situation. Both parents and teachers enj- oyed the evening. Pictured below Giovanni Cebrario is puzzled by by one of the questions asked him. The intermediate and senior students from Holy Angels were invited to attend an afternoon workshop recently at Schreiber Campus. The theme of the work shop was "Snowmobiles". The afternoon was most _informative and enjoyable. The students not only were reminded of the safety precautions involved in snowmobiling, but also how the snowmachines are assembled.
