Borden Ross was parade marshall for the veterans, Bill Paradis lowered and raised the flag, and Fred Gould, the bugler. Larry Bourke was the M.C, and Aurel Gauthier led the singing. REBEKAH'S SET TEA DATE Mrs. Gladys Hamilton, N.G. and Mrs. Glorie Miller, V.G. presided for the regular meeting of Ruby Rebekah Lodge on November 10. The C.P.T. meeting, it was reported was well- attended but no definite plans were made. The Officers' tea was set for November 27th in the town hall with a bake table, door prize and draw prizes as additional attractions. A Mrs. Florence Fischer thanked all those who con- tributed to and worked at the installation supper. Mrs. Agnes Bryson thanked the Lodge for the cors- age and Decoration of Chivalry presented to her in New Toronto. A thank you letter was received from Mrs. Iris Miller, D.D.P. Mrs. Winnie Clemens read two humourous articles. Members were asked to bring Christmas items for the penny auction at the next 'meeting, when lunch will be served. TOWN TOPICS Mr. and Mrs. Tommy Whent have returned from Burlington where they attended the funeral of the late J.E. (Roby) Robinson, an uncle. Bill Kuryk of Leamington is visiting her brother Alex and Mrs. Furyk. The Anglican Church Women are holding their Christmas bazaar-tea on November 17 in the town hall HOME AND SCHOOL MEETING The Schreiber Elementary Home and School meeting was held Thurs., November 4th with vice president, Mr. Bob Grant', presiding. Mrs. Dye was elected president and Mrs. Morris as recording secretary. Prior to the meeting parent-teacher interviews took place and Mr. Quinton showed a film, "Fields of Sacrifice". After the meeting lunch was served in the staff room. Next meeting will be held Thurs. Dec. 9th at 8 p.m. with parent teacher interviews at 7:30. ROSSPORT The Rossport Recreation Centre Committee held a Halloween party in the School Saturday evening for parents and children. Much fun was had during the various games and contests. The film was shown and lunch served.
