Mrs. Eleanor O'Connor had her three sisters, from Thunder Bay visit her this week = Mr. and Mrs. Wilf Hood, Mrs. Mabel Jamieson and Mrs. Agnes Gerow. Mrs. Edward Lawson is visiting her daughters, Mrs. Bob Hutchinson and her family and Mrs. Alice Potvin, in Thunder Bay. Mr. and Mrs. Laurie Furlonger and family of Halifax are visiting Mr. and Mrs. Furlonger, Sr. Mr. and Mrs. Brian Richardson had the formers parents, Mr. and Mrs. William Richardson of Port Perry, Ont. visiting them last week. Mr. and Mrs. Glenn Willoughby and daughter Lara of Falconbridge are the guests of Mrs. Saima Willoughby, visiting also with other relatives. Bob McKenna and Mike Souliere are holidaying with Bob's grandmother, Mrs. Anne Moore in Dryden. Mr. and Mrs. Leonard Hiller and Mr. and Mrs. Frank McKenna are spending the long weekend driving the Lake Superior Circle Route. Mr. and Mrs. Doug Moore and daughter, spent their vacation with relatives in Wichita, Kansas. Mr. and Mrs. E.C. Prinselaar have the latter's parents, Mr. and Mrs. P.G. Tegel, of Beverwyk, The Netherlands, visiting them. This is the fourth visit for Mrs. Tegel and the third for her husband and they grow more interested and enthusiastic about this part of Canada each time. Mr. and Mrs. John Gagnon spent their vacation in the Bahamas this year. Mrs. Ralph Miller (Betty) is arriving from Tauranga, New Zealand, to join the Campbell family reunion. Mrs. Alma Stewart with Mrs. Ray Cote and daughter Lianne of Espanola are visiting old friends here. Mr. and Mrs. Bruce Lidkea spent their vacation in the Kenora area. Mr. John Miller and Mr. and Mrs. G.L. McCuaig of Thunder Bay are holidaying here. Mr. Miller with his son Wesley and the McCuaig's at their camp at Walker Lake. Sharon Nesbitt and Mrs. Wilma Hutchinson of Thunder Bay and Mrs. Vivian Axelson of Geraldton are with Mrs. Charlie Nesbitt af Walker Lake. One of the gayest and biggest parties of the season was at Walker Lake where Mr. and Mrs. Jerry 4 Weaver (Bev Randa) of Eugene, Oregon and their family are camping. It was a combination Randa- Weaver reunion and with the friends in town who also kept arriving the complete count was lost. But in the crowd were Wally Weaver, with wife June and son, of Kamloops; Frank Vescio and wife Norma Randa, John Zvonar and wife Diane Randa of Thunder Bay; Bill Randa Sr. of Schreiber; Reg Payette and wife Barbara Randa; Mr. and Mrs. Bob Weaver, Mrs. Dora Weaver, Mr. and Mrs. Bill Randa Jr., of Terrace Bay; Mrs. Hugo Caccamo (Doreen Weaver), of Thunder Bay; all with their families; Mr. and Mrs. Leonard Huard, Mr. and Mrs. Neil Nesbitt and old friends of Schreiber. All being good raconteurs, laughter was unceasing as memories of earlier and younger days were re- lated. Mr. and Mrs. Joe Kelly have returned to Ottawa after visiting Gordon Willoughby at Walker Lake. Mr. and Mrs. Paul Krizan and family of Canmore Alta. are visiting Mrs. Krizan's parents, Mr. and Mrs. George Birch. : Tony Commisso has been notified that he was successful in his grade nine piano examination, taken at Thunder Bay. The Royal Conservatory of Music, Toronto examiner awarded Tony first class honors, with 82%, commending him on his interpre= tation and technique. Ralph McCuaig and Miss Ulla Sarnio of Toronto are visiting Mr. and Mrs. Lester McCuaig. COUPLE HONORED ON 25TH ANNIVERSARY Mr. ad Mrs. Rene Bedard, (nee Cecile Desbiens) celebrated their 25th wedding anniversary on July 24th, starting the day with a Mass, said by Father F.J. Meyer in Holy Angels Church, when they ex- changed new wedding rings. Later, Father Halpin, of Ottawa, formerly in Schreiber, went to their home to offer a special blessing. They were entertained at dinner in the Terrace Bay Motor Hotel and a party in their home, when they received many lovely gifts.
