PAGE 12 TERRACE BAY NEWS JUNE 1 Graduation - cont'd from page 2 ..... This year it was awarded to Dale Boutilier for her contributions to the school. The Lake Superior Board of Education Scholarship was awarded to Claudette Boudreau. The scholarship was presented by Mr. H. Rutetski and accepted by Mrs] H. Boudreau. The Trustees of the Lake Superior School Board then made the presentation to the following graduating students: Bevin Black, Shirley Bouchard, Claudette Boudreau, Dale Boutilier, William Brend, Ralph Coe, Lois Cornfield, James Corrigan, Charles Daley, Paulette Duquette, Glen Dussome, Richard Dussome, Thomas Falzetta, James Garriock, Samuel Harris, Werner Hermés, Mervin Holmes, Glen Kujbida, Lawrence Kusik, Leo Legault, Linda Lidkea, Allan MacGregor, Bryan Mahoney, Dennis Martin, Judith Mclnnes, Susan Mclnnes, Agnes Mushquash, Steven Payette, Lorne Pinkerton, Mary Pellegrino, Douglas Reynolds, Denise Rochon, Robert Rochon, Millicent Ross, Nancy Ross, Theodore Shearer, Sonja Stojko, Henry St. Pierre, Alice Stuart, Anita Stuart, David Turcott, Jacqueline Turner, John Vienneau, Terrance Vezina, Charlene Wallin, Catherine West, and Thom- as Yates. The Valedictory Address was given by Dale Boutilier, Dale compared life to a game stating that both had a start and a finish. It is hard to take the first move, but with the love and guidance of our parents and teachers we all step over the starting line. Moving forward, not knowing what kind of obstacles this game will put in our way, we go through grade school, high school, college or university. Then we attain adulthood and continue until we reach the finish line, death. Cathy Graham presented Dale Boutilier with the Valedictorian Pin. Mr. W.W. Rowsome thanked all the people who had worked behind the scenes fo make this year's commencement exercises a success. He also invited everyone to the Girls' Occupation Room for tea and coffee. The assembly ended with "God Save the Queen™ and the Recessional of the graduates. Afterwards the graduates, teachers and their guests attended a dinner sponsored by the students' council at the Terrace Bay Motor Hotel . - Cathy Melnyk. - photos start page 13 ......
