Bemidji State College dean's list certificates were awarded to 1350 students for scholastic honors earned spring quarter according to Dr. Richard Beitzel, Vice President for Academic Affairs. BSC students carrying twelve or more quarter hours dur- ing any one term and earning a "B" or better aver- age are listed on the dean's list. George M. Dashkewytch's name appeared on this list. The regular meeting of the Schreiber-Terrace Bay District Roman Catholic Separate School Board was held on Wednesday, June 16th, in Holy Angels School, Schreiber. In attendance were: Mrs. M. Helmink, Mrs. M. Bouchard, L. Bourke, Y. Beauparlant, R. Mitchell, M. Nicol, J. Power, G. Ramsay, J. Stephens, Sister Marvel and M. Anderson. Minutes of the May meeting were adopted as read. Operating expenses in the amount of $29,647.50 for the month of May were approved for payment. Discussion took place re: early beginners kinder- garten. This was approved as a pilot project for one year. ; Resignation from Miss,Holmes was accepted with a regret. 1971-1972 will be: Mr. Gino Franco, Miss Suzanne LeMay , and Miss Marta McPherson. Reports from Principals were read and discussed. Mr. Nicol reported that tenders had been given to the following: McCuaig Electric (electrical), R. Fournier (electrical), C. Perras (painting) and N. Chopty (painting). The next meeting will be held on Monday, July | 19th, at 7:00 p.m. at St. Martin's in Terrace Bay. | The total board went into a committee meeting to discuss the 1971 budget which was presented by our academic administrator, Mr. Stephens. This budget was accepted as presented. New teachers at Holy Angels School for the year DOG OBEDIENCE TRAILS | On Saturday, June 19th, the first obedience class | of Terrace Bay graduated. The eight students brought their dogs once a week to teach them the various lessons, under the direction of Miss Lorraine | Dobush. The graduation was a final test for the students and their dogs, to summarize the entire course.
