LEGION BOWLING WIND-UP A delicious smorgasbord, convened by members of the Ladies Auxiliary, was enjoyed by everyone. D. Gunter said Grace. President P. Jones, welcomed all the bowlers and guests, and commented on the success of our first year of league bowling. The alleys have been reserved for Friday nights next year. He then had the honour of presenting trophies to the Corvettes who are Legion Champions 70/71. Members of the Corvettes are = D. Gunter, captain, S. Gusul, M. Milks, W. Fisher, L. Swirhun and J. Mercier. Master of Ceremonies, P. Coupal called on E. Beddard to present trophies to the Cameron High- landers who were the Roll-Off winners - J. St. Louis, captain; L. Belliveau, B. McBride, E. Boyd, J. Tenuik and V. Fedorak. Prizes to the runner-up Corvettes were presented by P. Coupal . The individual awards were next: = Ladies High Average - D. Coupal; Men's High Average - P. Coupal; Ladies High Single = P. Regis; Men's High Single = H. Milks; Ladies High Triple = J. Fisher; Men's High Triple = G. Churney; Most Improved Lady Bowler = C. Black; Most Improved Man Bow- ler = S. Ballentine; Hidden Score - Lady =D. Ballentine; Hidden Score - Man - B. Comeau. Three bowlers received pins as members of the Legion 300 club. P. Coupal, J. St. Louis, and L. Swirhun each bowled games over 300 this past season. Sincere thanks was extended to all who had assist-. ed in any way during the year; and to those who had donated and presented prizes, Mr. and Mrs. H. Milks, Mr. and Mrs. D. Gunter, Mr. and Mrs. J. St. Louis and E. Beddard. This was followed by a hearty round of applause to the ladies who had made so many different tasty casseroles and organized the dinner.
