MEN'S BASKETBALL Session #2 for Men's Basketball will be held this Wednesday, May 26th, from 8:30 to 10 p.m. at the High School Auditorium. ROLLER SKATING TO START JUNE 6th Regular Roller Skating sessions will start on Sun- day, June 6th, at 6:30 p.m. Member and non-member rates will be charged to skaters according to the following break-down: Recreation Members Recreation Non-Members Adults & Students .50 73 Children +25 .50 A charge of .15¢ is levied for toe straps and your money is refunded when the straps are returned. ALL RECREATION ASSOCIATION MEMBERS MUST PRESENT THEIR DISCS. Supervisors will be available for assistance and general supervision of the programme. Plan on at- tending the first Roller Skating session on Sunday, June 6th, and skate to newly taped music. Sessions will be held once weekly on Sunday evenings from 6:30 to 9:00 p.m. ROLLER SKATING SUPERVISORS AND CASHIERS REQUIRED The Recreation Office is now accepting names of persons interested in acting as Roller Skating Super- visors and cashiers for the roller skating programme for 1971. Municipal representatives from Paipoonge, Oliver, Conmee, Gillies, O'Connor, Red Rock, Nipigon, Dorion attended the meeting which was held immediately following the dinner hosted by Mrs. Erna Sorensen and her staff at Pinewood Court In the short business session authorization was given / by the Board to purchase an ice cube machine, a small greenhouse and a floor polisher. The Board Chairman, Mr. Jim Symington, out- lined to those present the urgent need for more beds and the proposal being considered wii | _I "re the Barker Home at Geraldton which would house 20 ambulatory residents and adding on to Pinewood Court approximately 35 beds for Bed Care residents. The Administrator, Mr. Vibert, commented on his visit to Geraldton where he interviewed a numbe: \ of applicants that had filed applications to enter a Home in the Geraldton area. These were people that needed housing and the type of resident that would make use of the Barker Home.
