Regular practice was held and an in- spection of the new Voyaguer Restaurant had been made . The Building Inspector reported permits issued for two garages, one back porch and mill expansion. Accounts approved for payment were: Township - 13,211.79; Hydro - 12,759.26; Library - 854.12; Recreation Committee - 8,033.33. A group of local students, headed by a member of the High School staff, will be submitting an appli- cation to the Federal Government for programs under the Opportunity for Youth Plan. The Recreation Committee was authorized to grant $300. to the Terrace Bay Minor Hockey Association, an amount which had been included in the current year's estimates. COUPLE FETED ON WEDDING ANNIVERSARY Mr. and Mrs. George P. Brophy celebrated their 50th Wedding Anniversary on May 4th, 1971. Mr. and Mrs. Brophy were married in St. Patrick's Church, now a Cathedral, in Ottawa in 1921. They * spent part of their honeymoon in Toronto, then con- tinued on to Port Arthur where they resided for 34 years, at 100 S. High St. They moved to Terrace Bay in 1955 where they have made their home. The Brophys' have 4 children = Pat, Fort Churchill; Hugh, Terrace Bay; Sheila, Mrs. Jack Todd, Ren- frew and Dennis, Manitouwadge. They have 11 grand- children and 1 great grandchild. On Tuesday, Mr. and Mrs. Brophy attended mass at St. Martin of Tours, presented by Mr. and Mrs. Ross Mitchell, then were entertained at the home of the Mitchells at a small dinner party. On Saturday, Mr. and Mrs. Brophy attended a Family Mass, where Mrs. Brian MacDonald was the soloist, with Sister Marian at the organ. Mrs. Brophy wore a navy coat dress ensemble and was presented with a cream orchid corsage with gold fern and rib- bons. Mr. Brophy wore a Carnation boutinniere, also presented from the family. A dinner party for the immediate family was held at the Terrace Bay Motor Hotel, followed by a gathering of friends at the home of Hilda and Hugh Brophy .
