MAY 19, 1971 TERRACE BAY NEWS C.W.L. - Cont'd from page 8 ... First Communion Class. A roll call was held where members were asked to | reply by the name of the recipe they brought. This | caused a bit of laughter among the members. The | meeting was adjourned with the signing of O Canada and Holy God We Praise Thy name. The president then called on Mrs. E. Ramsay, Organization con- vener. A Fun-nite membership tea was held with members participating in various games. Novelty prizes were given with the door prize being won by Mrs. B. Pytyck. A delicious lunch was served by Mrs. Ramsay and her committee. 20 CARTONS OF COOKIES LEFT ~ Cookie Day for Guides and Brownies has been a yearly event ever since the first companies were formed in Terrace Bay. Unfortunately, other fund- raising events have taken precedence and when the little Brownies and Guides started knocking on doors on May 7th, they found a poor response . Since this is only a once-a-year deal, let's get behind the Brownies and Guides, and give them our continued support and co-operation by buying a package or two of their cookies. The proceeds from this sale are divided between the two groups to buy needed equipment, and we should encourage our girls in this worthwhile cause. It not only hurts the organization, it also dis- courages the leaders who give so freely of their time, to keep the Brownie and Guide movement alive in Terrace Bay. Please offer your support by calling Mrs. Jeanine Desrosiers at 3324 and ordering some cookies, thereby helping the girls who are trying to help themselves. Gary Suo has returned from a fascinating trip overseas where he spent five months touring all of the Mediterranean countries, and included Morocco in Africa. Gary is now taking a Spring Course in Lakehead University. FIELD DAY AT T.B.H.S.
