The Lake Superior School Board agreed in principal with the request from a group of interested citizens of Schreiber in establishing a hostel service in the Annex of the Schreiber Public School for the period July - August, subject to the following understanding: That the operation of the hostel be the responsibil - ity of a mutually agreed upon Hostel Board, repres- entative of the Community of Schreiber. That matters of insurance, public liability and damages be worked out between the Trustee from Schreiber on the Lake Superior School Board, the Director of Education and the Supervising Principal of the Board and the Hostel Board. The the Lake Superior School Board reserves the right to terminate the use of the building for the above purpose on forty-eight hours notice. That the part of the building be used for hostel facilities include no other then two classrooms and toilet facilities. That the operation of a hostel be supervised by a full-time Supervisor and his staff, responsible to the Hostel Board. That the rules of operation be agreed upon between the above named representatives of the School Board and the Hostel Board. That full authority be given to the representatives of the Lake Superior Board before mentioned to act on behalf of the School Board. The resolution was amended as follows: = the Board consider the request presented, for use of a " Board owned building as a hostel ONLY after forms of approval are obtained by the hostel committee from the Municipal Council. The Cameron Highlanders took first place with a score of 4109. Congratulations fo J. St. Louis, E. Boyd, L. Belliveau, J. Teniuk, V. Fedor- ak and B. McBride. Dave Gunter's Corvettes were second with 4048. Bruce McBride had the high four game series with an 817. H. Milks was next with 796, P. Coupal 794, E. Beddard 783, D. Coupal 772, E. Boyd 739, J. St. Louis 733, L. Swirhum 726 and S. Gusul 717. Special thanks to the scorekeepers L. Wills, M. Reid, H. Hiebert and O. Papineau. Plans are to be finalized for our wind-up, details to be announced shortly. GUSUL TROPHY REMAINS IN TERRACE BAY Home ground has always been considered an ad- vantage for the home team in any sport. Faced with the possibility of win or lose, whether it was Schreiber Legion Auxiliary or Terrace Bay Legion Auxiliary, the players gave their best in the Shuffleboard Tournament. Congratulations go to Mrs. Jackie Calder and Mrs. Yvonne LeClair for winning the Harry Gusul Trophy and keeping it in Terrace Bay. Runners up in the A Event were June Dukes and Roberta Winters. B. Event went to Bea St. Louis and Connie Cvitkovich, and consolation to Jeannette Gunter and Rosemary Thorpe, It was noted that quite a few new players partic- ipated, which are always welcome to take part in this kind of fun and meet other members.
