Daylight Saving Time will come into effect on April 25th at 2 a.m. Accounts passed for payment were Township - $114,927 .66; Hydro - $14,177.55; Library - $933.40 Recreation Committee - $7,730.43. Under new business, Reeve Cavanaugh noted that Terrace Bay will host the Executive meeting of the Northwestern Ontario Municipal Association, with a luncheon held at the hotel . Tenders for painting the hall, stairwell and wash- room in the Municipal building were read and that of Nick Chopty accepted. ¥ Councillor Chisholm discussed the anti-litter by- law and it was decided to mail a copy of the by-law to all commercial establishments in town, and a survey will be taken as pertains to all residential and other properties throughout the town. The by-law reads in part: " No person shall dump, place, deposit or permit to be dumped, placed or deposited on any grounds, yards or vacant lots within the Township of Terrace Bay, any junk or refuse of any kind whatsoever, and without limiting the generality of the foregoing, this shall include gar- bage, tin cans, discarded machinery, automobile parts, furniture or any waste material of any kind". Penalties are provided for infractions and this by= law will be enforced. The Police report in part read as follows: one case : of vandalism reported at Ski hill, investigations re- sulted in locating two teenage children, with the parents of the children taking care of the damage and made full restoration. One tape recorder was found in snow, turned in to Police and returned to the school to which it belonged. Two cases of ped- dlers ordered out of town having no license to sell.
