"complete with plus fours, who no doubt was the Storekeeper, who made a fortune selling mundane : items like flour, sugar, coffee and eggs, at fantastic prices. Dresses from a by-gone era were brought out, refur- nished with bits of lace and maribou and added an air of gaiety to the evening. MEN"S CURLING CLUB NEWS ANNUAL GENERAL SPRING MEETING: This meet- ing was held on April 15th in the Curling Club Lounge. The minutes of last year's General Meéting were read by Secretary, Benny Hayes. Hugh Brophy: presented his President's Report in which he outlined the improvements made during the year and the Club's financial position. ! Reports from Committee Chairmen of the outgoing executive were then given. This was followed by an adjournment to allow for the election of officers for the 1971-72 season. The new executive: Pres- ident - Jack Chapman; Vice-President = Jim Rogers; Past President -- Hugh Brophy; Secretary - Bob Laybourne; Treasurer = Ed Kennedy; Directors - Henry Hermes, Len Crockford, Dave Desrosiers, Nestor Trach, Mike Anderson; Trustees = Howard Solly, Doug Mercer, Paul Malashewski . Date - Saturday May 29th. : PICTURES FROM MEN'S BONSPIEL: Below are pictures from the Men's Bonspiel which should have been in last week's edition, but the pictures were delayed in the Easter weekend mail and arrived too late for last week's paper. Sorry if that disappointed anyone; unfortunately, there's no one in this area who develops pictures and all films must be sent to Thunder Bay - this causes a week's delay (sometimes longer!) in printing photos from an event.
