MINOR HOCKEY PLAYOFF RESULTS Atoms = Results ot the semi-final and finals played in the Atoms House League this year are as tollows: = Semi-Final (March 30th) - Eagles 4, Hawks 2. Finals (April 1st) Falcons 2, Eagles 0; Finals (April 3rd) Falcons 2, Eagles 0. The Falcons then captured the 1970-71 champion- ~ ship in the Atom Division by winning the two-game total goal series 4-0. Peewees - An exciting playoff series resulted in the Peewee division, with the series going the full three games as follows: -Game #1 = Mustangs 7, Thunder- birds 2; Game #2 - Thunder. birds 6, Mustangs 3; Game #3 = Mustangs 7, Thunderbirds 0.. continued page 13 ..... CHARTER NIGHT SET FOR APRIL 7TH Senior Regent, Alice Yates presided at the gegular | meeting of the Women of the Moose Chapter 1426, held on March 17th. Minutes of the previous meeting were read and correspondence was dealt with. : Recorder, Sadie Benko reported on the mid-winter conference, that she and other co-workers atte nded in Atikokan. Discussion took place on two weddings. All the members agreed to cater to these. Various projects were also brought up. Membership chairman, Adeline Daley and her committee of Betty Oksanen, Bernice Williams and Paige Legacy will be in charge of Chapter Night program on April 7th. At the conclusion ot the meeting Gail Gould was introduced and presented with a gitt by Senior Regent on behalf of the chapter for her fine showing at the recent public speaking contest. i Minnie Woodruft won the raffle and Betty Oksanen: won the pot of gold. SKI CLUB NEWS While all the racing, ski instruction, novelty events etc. are over for this year; we are presently getting in some of the pest skiing of the season - Spring Skiing. Sunday was the most glorious ski day this year! Lets hope it lasts a couple more weekends at least. Pictures of this year's superskiers are included in this issue (page 9) all are winners of ribbons in the = club championship races held early in March.
