Brian Birch presented the trophies, individual ones for each player and the large one, a handsome, modernistic welded sculpture of a tree, symbolis of the occasion. There was a good-natured altercation over the acceptance of Bina Welbourne's 'family' rink, with names such as Furlonger, Rajott: and Racioppi, but Skip Welbourne's firm declaration that they were all adopted was allowed to stand. HEALTH UNIT PRESENTS SLIDES A bake sale, in aid of the Rossport recreation - centre, was held prior to the public school March Home and School Association meeting, with Mrs. Gerry Fischer presiding. Charles Wilde, of Rossport, thanked the members for their assistance, saying the Regional library was supplying 300 books for young readers and 200, for adult readers. Clem Downey, has made plans for regular cribbage games on Weadnesday evenings and Schreiber masters of the game are invited to test their skill. Mr. G.R. Saumur, the principal, reported the Elective program had been most successful, enjoyed the students and the school was most grateful for the co-operation and ready assistance given by the various business firms. Another such program will be considered following the Easter break. The minutes, read by Mrs. Harry Jartus and finan- cial statement given by Robert Grant, were adopted as read. Mr. Saumur then introduced G.A. Isherwood, of the District Health Unit, Michael Reid, local health inspec tor, and Miss Sharen Brown, public health nurse.
