INSTALL OFFICERS The Afternoon Group of the Terrace Bay Community Church Ladies Auxiliary met on Monday afternoon, Mrs. Schritt presided and welcomed the ladies. Mrs. Isobel Ferrier gave the Scripture and Mrs. Jean Roberts was at the piano. Mrs. Lil Harris read the secretary's report and gave the financial statement. Mrs. Schritt announced that Mrs. Peggy Helmink would be their guest speaker at the March meeting and show a film on Mental Retardation. To aid the local association for the Mentally Retarded, the members are asked to bring the following articles to the next meeting: empty spools of thread, cylinders from wax paper or tin foil, plastic caps from bottles or containers such as.spray starch, odd bits of yarn and plastic bead clips, cards such as birthday, Val- entine, get'well, will also be collected to be used for making scrap books. These are used by the young- er patients at the Lakehead Psychiatric Hospital, as well as the school at Marathon. Articles will be collected at the April meeting to be sent to the Crippled Civilians in Toronto. Nominations were held and the present officers were returned by acclamation. They are Mrs. June Schritt, Chairman; Mrs. Mary Chadwell, vice- chairman; Mrs. Lil Harris = Secretary-treasurer. It was decided to again offer maple syrup for sale this year. Mrs. Lois McCausland is in charge of the project. GUIDE ENROLLMENT On February 2nd, the Ist Terrace Bay Guide Company held their annual meeting. Guide enroll- ment took place. Mrs. Pam Jones welcomed all the parents. Those enrolled were Lori McBride, Dawn McBride, Brenda Cornfield, Roslyn Calder, Cathy Adey, Carol Kennedy, Melody Fisher, Natalie Kostiuk, Patricia Paukstys, Irene Bergeron, Jody McKie, Louise Desrosiers, Aila Rouhianen, Lorrelie Desaulniers, Karer "vitkovich, Delana Almos, Patty Dakin and Debbie Seidel . Mrs. Jones enrolled Mrs. Lieutenant. Mrs. Helen Jartus of Corps Staff Officers, St. John's Ambulance, Schreiber, presented Junior Child Care Certificates to successful candidates. These were Leigh Ann McBride, Valerie Szpak, Shunah Caldwell and Isle Smith. Mrs. Irene Kettle assisted the girls in taking this course . Games and camp fire were enjoyed.
