MARATHON AND SCHREIBER RASKETBALL On February 16, Marathon played basketball in Schreiber. Before the games, a pep rally was held where the cheerleaders gave an excellent performance of the various cheers. An in- troduction of the Schreiber teams and coaches followed, with Wayne Trembley as M.C. Most spectators remained to watch the games, . : The girls teams played first and although our girls were out there trying, the score ended up 27 - 17 for Marathon. Top scorers for Schreiber were Debbie Cook and Linda Fon- taine. In the boys games, both teams were out there fighting. At the end of the first half the score was 25 - 22 for Schreiber, In the second half the score ended up 49 - 39 for Schreiber. Top scorers were Joe Dettbarn, Marathon; Tony Commisso and Bill collinson, Schreiber. All the teams should be congratulated for their fine playing and sportsmanship. \ REPORT CARDS - Schreiber High School Students in first, se- cond, third and fourth years will be receiving their second term report cards on Monday, March lst. The students are to retain the photostatic copy and return the original, signed by a perent, to the school.
