JANUARY 21, 1971 TERRACE BAY NEWS PAGE 13 MENTALLY RETARDED ASSOC. PRESENTS FILM * St. Martin of Tours C.W.L. held their regular m monthly meeting on Sunday, January 10th. The President, Mrs. G. Dashkewytch opened the meeting with the League Prayer. 4 Minutes were read and approved. Correspondence followed including a letter of invitation from the ommunity Church Ladies to attend and participate in the World Day of Prayer on March 5th. A note of acceptance and thanks will be sent to Mrs. P. * Jones. | The treasurer, Mrs. A. Regis gave her report . Various conveners reports were read and approved. | Mrs. E. Ramsey, Church Life convener read a thought | filled poem entitled "God's Retarded Children." A donation will be sent to Father John for mission work in New Guinea. Sister Paulette will explain "The New Approach to Catechetics" at the February meeting. Following adjournment Mrs. Peggy Helmink, Pres- ident of the Association of the Mentally Retarded ~ presented a film "The Eternal Children" and answered the many questions put forth. During the past decade Medical People, Educators and the general public have become more aware of just how capable these children and adults can be if given the opportunity "and guidance. We thank Mrs. Helmink and the Association for helping to enlighten us. A delicious lunch was served by Mrs. Lapenskie and her committee. ba W. Anderson Retirement - cont'd from page 1 .... and W.
