Among the larger groups enjoying a family reunion were Mr. and Mrs. Ed McGregor with sons Billy and lan of Kapuskasing, John Cosgrove of Ann Arbor, Mich., Gerard (Gus) Cosgrove of Toronto, Sister Anna Cosgrove of Manitouwadge, and also visiting, Miss Geri Scarrow of Guelph and Miss Joan Brothers of Toronto = all with Mr. and Mrs. Austin Cosgrove . Mr. and Mrs. J.G. Wiznuk were also hosts for a family gathering which included Mrs. Ann Wiznuk of Sault Ste. Marie, Mr. and Mrs. Henry Micus of White River, Mr. and Mrs. William Micus and family of Thunder Bay. Cecil Q. Snyder of Ottawa spent the holidays as the guest of Mrs. G. Kettle In games before Christmas, the Junior Superiors won their second game of the season on December 19, by defeating Geraldton Goldminers 5-4 in a very close game. Trent Desaulniers led the Sups with 3 goals, with singles going to Capar and Daley. Boychuk had two for Geraldton with singles going to Piclak and Fukishima. In the Sunday game, the Goldminers took revenge for the defeat on Saturday, and handed the Sups an 8-5 beating. The game was tied 5-5 with about ten minutes to go, but the Sups couldn't keep up with the bustling Goldminers. Cont'd next column ... Fukishima and P. Boychuk scored two goals each for Geraldton with singles going to T. Boychuk, Batog, Pulak and Rodak. Leo Legault scored two for the Sups with Daley, Simmer and Knight adding singles. On Tuesday, December 22, Schreiber North Stars were the visitors and they handed the Sups a 9-1 lacing. Pat Spadoni, home from University, added strength to the already potent Schreiber team and scored three goals. Webb had two goals with singles going to B. Spadoni, L. Hiller, B. Hiller and |. Martin. Larry Sitko scored the lone goal for the Sups. On Monday, December 28th, the Sups travelled to Manitouwadge and were again beaten 8-4. In their first start of the New Year on Sunday night, the visiting Manitouwadge Copper Kings drubbed the Sups 9-5. Mattson and Jochimski led the "Kings" with three goals each, with singles goir to Passi, Meaher and Powell.
