Mrs. Forbes Macadam of Thunder Bay, spent the holidays with Mr. and Mrs. Russell Macadam. May Ellen Gerow was home from Toronto with her parents Mr. and Mrs. Bill Gerow. Doran Kragero was home from Hailbury with his parents Mr. and Mrs. Bob Kragero. Mr. end Mrs. Dale Sparkes of Thunder Bay were with Mr. and Mrs.. Cyril Sparkes. Sister Mary Comerford, of Regina is visiting Mr. and Mrs. Alex Power. Mr. and Mrs. Merv Perrault of Thunder Bay and Tim Pidgeon of Kingston are with Mr. and Mrs. John Power. Among the visitors from Winnipeg in town for the holiday are Mr. and Mrs. Larry Crawford, with Mr. and Mrs. Dominic Filgiomeni, Jim Scott, with Mr. and Mrs. George Scott, Mr. and Mrs. Frank Labarre and sons with Mr. and Mrs. Jimmy Figlio- meni, Frank Muia with his parents. Mrs. Bernice Jacomb and Mrs. Leo Tookenay will spend Christmas and New Year's in McKellar Hospital . Miss Muriel Nesbitt, who will be maid of honor at the wedding, was hostess for a shower honoring Miss Sandra 'Clemens, bride-elect of December 28th. Assisting at the party in Mrs. David Nesbitt's home, were Mesdames Earl Welbourne, Leonard Huard, Mary Sparkes and Miss Edith Clemens. The ribbons tying the many gifts were fashioned into a keepsake hat by Muriel who presented them to Sandra. Mr. and Mrs. Rene Bedard will be enjoying a family reunion at Christmas with the following all home - son Harvey and Lorraine, son and daughter from Windsor, Mr. and Mrs. Garnet Jewell (Alene) and son Bart of Thunder Bay; Mr. and Mrs. Murray Welsh (Rolande) of New Liskeard. Harvey is the first one from Schreiker to enter training as a jockey, working at the track in Windsor. Friends of the O'Brien and McLaughlin families, who share a two dwelling apt. house are finding it increasingly difficult to carry on a coherent conver- sation, with two Barbara's and two Kevin's involved. TERRACE BAY PLAYS SCHREIBER On Monday, December 21st, the final basketball games prior to the Christmas holidays took place in Schreiber. The Terrace Bay girls defeated Schreiber 51-13. The Schreiber boys defeated Terrace Bay 56-26. OWL LAMP DRAW At the Christmas Dance, December 19th, Paul Caccamo, a member of the Owl's Hoot Staff, drew the winning ticket for the Owl Lamp. Mr. J. Caccamo, the winner, is shown in photo below, receiving the lamp. Appreciation is extended to all who purchased tickets.
