Minutes were read by Mrs. Lil Harris. A letter was read from the Canadian Cancer Societ reminding the members that April is Cancer Month, A donation of $10.00 was made to the Society. Mrs. Schritt thanked the ladies who had turned out to the World Day of Prayer at St. Martin's. Mrs. McCausland reported that the price of Maple Syrup has gone up slightly, due to the rise in the cost of shipping. It would be appreciated if orders were received by April Ist. Please call Mrs. Mc-- Causland or Mrs. Harris. Mrs. Lundberg reminded the ladies of the Card Party to take place on April 15th, in the Terrace Bay Motor Hotel. The chairman advised that Mrs. Chadwell, past chairman is home and recovering from her illness. Mrs. Duriez, in charge of the nearly new table for the bazaar, asked for donations and stated she will be glad to pick them up if called. Happy Birthday was sung to Mrs. M. Storey, who had celebrated her 78th birthday on March 15th. Mrs. Broadhurst and Mss. M. Baillie, hostesses for the afternoon, had arranged to have a beautifully decorated cake for Mrs. Storey's birthday . Mrs. Schritt closed the meeting with a prayer and the ladies rolled bandages for the Leper colony, and folded leaflets for the Cancer'Society. These leaflets will be distributed by the Girl Guides and it is to be hoped everyone will read them.
