PAGE 14 WOTrLCE RE: DOGS RUNNING AT LARGE Township of Schreiber Numerous complaints have been received concern- ing dogs running at large. According to by/law 405, dogs may be impounded, and destroyed after 48 hours or if photographed as evidence of running at large, summoned and fined. The situation has become serious, and in some cases persons bitten. Residents are urged to keep their dogs confined or council will find it necessary to take harsh action. Mrs. M. A local restaurant which has long been a gathering place for some of our youth was condemned for its insightly premises by the Health Inspector and it looked as if the proprietor, who has little money and who is not well, might be put out of business . * Hearing of his predicament a group of High School Students headed by a young Miss Hamilton, undertook to thoroughly clean the premises.
