Sunday, December 7th, is the day to return the borrowed "talents" to the Community Church. The Church from which we borrowed the idea gained more than $1,000. when their talent money was returned. The interest on their money had been earned by such efforts as bake sales, bazaars and a door-to-door broom sale. Perhaps you didn't happen to be in Church the Sunday in June when the Church invited the congre- gation to take some money from the plate, and turn it into a profit. It is not too late to use your talents to help the Church. In an article written by Peggy Fleming, 1968 Olympic ice-skating champion, she says, "I firmly believe that God has given each of us a special talent - be it in the arts, crafts, science, business or homemaking, and as the parable in the Bible states, if we bury our talents in our own self-satis- faction, or fear to try or simply do not want fo make the effort, we fail Him, our world, and our selves.
