NOVEMBER 27, 1969 TERRACE BAY NEWS PAGE 9 FOSTER HOMES FOR SENIOR CITIZENS It It has been found that many Senior Citizens who have good health, are ambulatory and able to care for themselves, prefer remaining in the stream of com munity life where they can carry on ina normal manner . The Board of Management of Pinewood Court Dis- trict of Thunder Bay Home for the Aged have expres- sed interest in obtaining Foster Homes in the District and City of Thunder Bay. These homes should be- able to provide a normal home environment for the elderly citizen with the hostesses having a genuine interest for the older people. Persons interested in providing this type of accom- modation can make arrangements by writing or calling: Pinewood Court, 445 James Street, Fort William, Ontario. 577-1127. with a Social Hour to follow. We hope to see you all out in support of this dedication. Sc nn ELLER BROWNIES AND GUIDES ELECT OFFICERS The annual meeting of the LA to, Guides and Brown- ies was held Monday, November 24th. Minutes of the last annual report were adopted as read. District Commissioner Shirley Caron gave her report on the Commisioner's Conference held in the Lakehead November 8th. All reports of the various officers and Guiders were read. A new slate of officers was brought in for the 69-70 year. They are: - Chairman - S. Caron; Secretary - G. Moore; Treasurer - Y. Rajotte; Blue Badge Secretary - E. Ramsay; Brown Guides Secretary -R. McBride; Brown Registration - |. Kettle; Camp Convener - Betty Bouchard; Ways and Means ~ Y. Rajotte; Social - Steffie Dorman; Cookie Day - J. Desrosiers; Uniforms - H. Heibert and Phoning - D. Dakin. The next regular meeting will be held on January Ath. in the Community Church basement at 8.30 p.m.. All interested parents are invited to attend.
