Of Saturday, October 18th, the Kinsmen Club of Schreiber embarked on another project to raise money for their White Sand Lake project. Under the leadership of Kin Ron Wood, the Kinsmen are selling tickets on a 275 pound side of beef. This first grade beef will be cut and wrapped for the lucky winner. - it is hoped that enough funds can be raised to extend further the facilities at White Sand Lake. This will be the third fall that the local Kinsmen have formed "work parties" to clear the shoreline for bathing, sunning, picnicking and other summer activities. Three years ago this popular area was densely covered with trees and bush. Today, as the photos in the next column indicate, it is one of the finest beaches in Northwestern Ontario. When a Kinsman calls on you, purchase many ex- cellent opportunities and you may enjoy lots of fine beef dinners during the winter months .
