TEACHER OF THE WEEK Mr. Nagy teaches Grade 9 Mathematics, Grade 11 Physics, Grade 13 Chemistry and Physics at Schreiber High. Before coming to Schreiber, Mr. Nagy supply taught in Toronto for one year and taught full time' in Peterborough for one year. He was born in England and came to Toronto at an early age where he attended De LaSale High School FALL DISTRICT 2 COUNCIL - and later Toronto University where he obtained his B. of Sc. degree. His hobbies include playing a' ; ' trumpet and reading. Mr. Nagy enjoys the small school atmosphere and is staff advisor for the Cam- era Club. He hopes to establish a Physical Science Club in the near future. Mr. Nagy has a reputa- tion for being a terrific cook. We are sure Mr. and Mrs. Nagy will be very happy in our small town. The District Two Kinsmen Fall Council was held this past week-end in Schreiber and is regarded as a very successful event. At the business session which was held on Saturday many general policies were discussed. Two films were shown. The first dealt with the national Kinsmen's Concentrated efforts to raise funds for the destitute in Africa, The second film focused on the national convention to be held in Saskatoon | next summer. This conference will "mark" the 50th Anniversary of Kinsmenship. Many Kinsmen Clubs vie to host the District Council. The Fort Frances organization spent much time and effort influencing the voting delegates to syp- port them in their bid to sponsor the Fall District Council in 1971. They were successful. The 1970 conference will be held in Dauphin, Manitoba. The council terminated with ahighlight, Brother Robb, familiar to many of the area, presented in- tertainment at the social session on Saturday night.
