In the boys' match, Schreiber won 2 out of 3 games The scores were first game, Schreiber 15, Terrace Bay 8; second game, Schreiber 15, Terrace Bay 8; third game Schreiber 7, Terrace Bay 15. Both Terrace Bay and Schreiber Teams played well and are looking forward to return matches next Wed- nesday, October 22, in Terrace Bay High School . We would also like to welcome the new cheer- leaders who cheered their first game on Thursday . They are: Dale Sisson, Janice Cluett, Cathy Bottom- ley, Bev. Hamilton, Susan Johnson, Joyce Cluett, Lola Scott, Susan Dimmery and Cathy McLellan. GIRLS AIM FOR "GREEN AND GOLD" At present the Schreiber High School boys teams proudly wear their impressive "Golden Haw! " un- iforms when competing against other school teams . Two years ago the boys worked very hard to raise money to purchase these uniforms. This year the Girls Athletic Association under the capable direction of Mrs. Stewart are beginning a fund raising campaign for much needed uniforms for the girls. On Tuesday October 7th they "Kicked Off" their campaign by holding a Coke Dance from 3.00 to 4.00 p.m. in the gymnasium. The girls also sold delicious homemade fudge which disappear- ed very quickly. The proceeds of $25.00 from this event is an excellent start for the campaign. The girls wish to thank all students who supported the event and hope that even more members of the student body will give their wah tie for their next endevour. IROQUOIS IN THE LEAD House League activities for the 1969-70 School Year have begun at Schreiber High School. At present the girls are competing in Volleyball, and while the favourable weather remains the boys are participating in football. In the first set of games, the girls Volleyball, Iroquois House is the winner in both the Junior and Senior Division. In football Iroquois House is also in the lead. The series of games is incomplete and the other three houses, Canuck, Mohawk and Ottawa have an op- TERRACE BAY NEWS OCTOBER 23, 1969 portunity for a comeback. Come out students and ~ cheer your House Members along. They need yoer support and encouragement. EVALUATION SYSTEM PROGRAMMED After the Evaluation System for the 1969-70 school year was explained to the students, the Grade 12 Business and Commerce students decided that a flow chart should be drawn up, (using the Data Processing method of programming), to illus- trate this new system by which students passed or failed under plan A or B. This project was under- taken by the following grade 12 students: Bob Hiller, David Bailey and Ron McBride. The girls also assisted in the development of this Mobile Data Processing Flow Chart. The following topics represent a few of those followed through on the chart; if the student was a poor student,what was the reason behind it? (for this student, helpful suggestions and solutions were offer-; ed for over-coming his desire for pleasure.) Does the student enjoy school? What is his attitude?
