Among many telegrams received was one from Prime Minister, P.E. Trudeau. Peggy Cavanaugh, as the oldest granddaughter, presented Mrs. Cavanaugh with a bouquet of roses. Mrs. H. Boudreau, on behalf of the C.W.L., made a presentation. Joe Kennedy gave the happy couple a Money Tree, on behalf of all their friends who had gathered to honour them. Mr. H.J. Boud- reau honoured the couple with a toast. All the Cavanaugh children were present, with their families. These included Bill, Port Arthur; Joe Prince George, B.C.; Ted and Paul, Toronto; John of Bermuda; and Mary, at home. Mr. Cavanaugh still leads an active life, having been Reeve of Terrace Bay for the past three years. and previous to that was a member of the Improvement District Board fér seven years. Open House was held at the home of the Cavanaugh's: on Sunday afternoon, when again throngs of friends dropped in to offer their congratulations. Tea was served from a lace covered table with beautiful centerpiece of Bronze and yellow mums. Pouring tea for the first hour were Mrs. F. Cruikshank and Mr G. Dodge, and for the second hour, Mrs. M. McCausland and Mrs. H. Boudreau.
