During the past week the Schreiber Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police investigated two motor vehicle accidents which resulted in approx- imately $275.00 damage. From February 23,1969 to March 1, 1969 members of this Detachment patrolled 2,679 miles of highwa and logged 240 hours. One case of a Break and Enter, investigation in this matter is continuing. One report of a missing person, who was located by a member of this Detach ment. One car was reported as stolen, and later lo- cated, investigation is continuing. One Liquor Seizure which resulted in two charges being laid - under the Liquor Control Act. There were three charges laid under the Highway Traffic Act. Twelve persons were warned and twenty five vehicles were given safety checks. Crippled Children - cont'd from page 9 3,500 cerebral palsy children who can be trained and do respond to the highly specialized and ex- pensive treatment that is given at over twenty treat- ment centres in the province. The treatment is directed by experts towards train- ing the undamaged part of the brain to take over the functions of the defective area to as great a degree as possible. In many cases near miracles have been worked. In other cases the results are slow. The 1969 Easter Seal campaign must raise $1,500, 000. in Ontario to guarantee that no crippled child in our province will go without treatment and assis- tance that he or she must have. Easter Seals have paved the way for expansion, progress and advance- ment enabling every crippled child in the province to reach his or her full potential. Easter Seal con- tributions have a life-long effect. It is good business and good common sense to support the Easter Seal Campaign.
