Elsie Berndtsson ' Campaign Chairman spe PRE Sa be td i KIWANIS HONORED BY VISIT FROM GOVERNOR The Kiwanis Club of Terrace Bay was honored on Tuesday, May 21st, when Governor Jack Stokes of | Lethbridge, Alberta, with Mrs. Stokes, paid an offi-}- cial. visit to their club. Mr. Stokes, who is the Gov -- ernor for Kiwanis of Western Canada, was accompan=} ied on his visits to various clubs in North Western Ontario, by Lieutenant-Governor Bill Strachan and Mrs. Strachan, of Atikokan. The Kiwanis invited their ladies to dinner, at the Terrace Bay Motor Hotel, along with special guests, Reeve and Mrs. E. Cavanaugh, and the Bert Lohr Choristers. The Choristers, with Mrs. Marilyn Chisholm at the piano, entertained the guests with two selections. The Governor was introduced by Jim Hale. Mr. Stokes outlined some of the highlights of the work =f done in various communities. He mentioned the fact } that the Western Division extends from the Rocky Mountains on the West, to Terrace Bay on the east. | Reeve Cavanaugh' commented on the activities of | the Terrace Bay club, and was thanked by the Presi- | dent of the local club, Ed Kennedy, and. by the Gov4) ernor. : After the dinner, honored guests, the Kiwanis members and their wives were entertained at the home of President Ed, and Vera Kennedy.
