'MUGGS' & 'MIN' McCUAIG CLOSE RESTAURANT When the restaurant in the C.P.R. station in Sch- reiber closed on May 13th, it ended a service begun in 1908. There have been a variety of managers through the years, but certainly none more popular than 'Muggs' and Min. McCuaig, who have been in charge for the last 11 years. From coast to coast, Min's doughnuts vied in popularity with Muggs repar- tee; widely-quoted and chuckled over. The grape- "vine they maintained was fantastic to one unaware of such a thing, and with their popularity among PAGE 13 working crews, officials and travellers, it was no wonder .- It ranged from personalities to politics; alternated from office coffee breaks, to bachelors wanting a quick meal with conversation, to school kids with lunches, buying cokes. They were wonderful people, known from coast to coast by travellers of all kinds. Muggs and Min will be opening a new business in the near future. Shown in the photo below by |.
