Zwaresh scored a second, and in the final minute of regulation time Hanley scored to tie the game 3-3. A ten-minute overtime period was played with Manitouwadge going ahead 4-3. Playing straight time and with less than a minute to go it looked like it would take more than a miracle for Terrace Bay to stay alive. With about seven seconds remain ing, a face-off was called at the Terrace Bay blue line - - Coach, Stan Zwaresh, pulled his goalie for an extra player. Seconds, remaining, six Terrace Bay attackers rushed down the ice and Mark Dashke wytch banged the puck in the Manitouwadge net to tie the game again! ! Sudden death overtime was begun to decide the championship. It was almost anti-climatic after the ' ten minute over time period of hockey, but at the ee "i. : & five minute mark, Mark Dashkewytch banged home the puck for the winning goal and the championship The Terrace Bay Pee Wee All-Stars are to be con gratulated again! The week previous they won the 2 Elks Tournament in the Lakehead by shear hard work ; ae es and determination. Before their home town fans they did it again on Saturday. Those 12 little guys worked their hearts out and gave Minor Hockey in Terrace Bay the biggest boost it has ever had. The Pee Wee Championship was the "icing on the cake" for Minor Hockey night which was a huge success on Friday night. The navy League Band and the High School Cheer-Leaders and Hockey Team added the zest that was needed. The Minor Hocke Association and the Recreation Director thank all the organizations who helped make Minor Hockey Night so successful and the people for turning out to support it. Door prizes were won by the following: Mrs. Ojavee - 10 gal. gas from Island View Service; L. Waghorn - $5 voucher from Cebrario's Hardware; Mrs. Mallais - 10 gal. gas from Terrace Bay Enter- prizes; Mrs. Kuran - two steak dinners from Moon- stone Lanes; Debbie Opas won the cake donated by Mrs. Papineau and her helpers. Editor's Note: In last week's paper, a grave error was made in the Pee Wee write-up. It was Kenny Hanley who scored the over-time goal to win the game for Terrace against Nakina. Congratulations Kenny, even though it's a bit late.
