President Dorothy Coupal was in the chair and Secretary Dorothy Ballentine read the minutes of the previous meeting. Routine busi- ness was taken care of . Mrs. Cora Bajkiewicz was a Delegate chosen to go to Fort William for the District Meeting held at the Ortona Legion Hall on March 30. Mrs. D. Coupal and Mrs. D. Ballentine also attended the meeting, as interested fraternal members. A letter was received from the Legion Auxiliary at White River, inviting local members to their birth day party to be held on April 27th. Any member who is interested in going to White River on that date is asked to contact Mrs. Gladys Kujbida be- fore April 15th. Lunch was served to end the evening. Minutes from the last meeting were read and adopted. Correspondence included a letter from the Boy Scout Association, commending the Council. for their co-operation. The Terrace Bay Girl Guides requested permission to hold a Cookie Day on April 26th and permission was granted. A letter from the Children's Aid Society, District of Thunder Bay, stated there will be 24 people on the Board of Dir- ectors. Two will be elected from the Welfare Bud- get Board. A letter from the District Assessor, Dep} artment of Municipal Affairs, re Court of Revision, stated that Ted Brown was the local chairman.
