Miner Hockey Night - Judging by the comments we have heard about Minor Hockey Night last Friday, we have to say it was a big success. These who did . net support this event missed an entertaining even- ing. There was no doubt in many minds that the Terrace Bay High School girls hockey team, the High School cheerleaders and the Terrace Bay Navy League Band certainly added a little extra to the evening's program. These groups are to be highly commended for their performance and deserve more recognition in the town than what they are getting at the present. The coaches and all those who work ed closely with the boys this season are to be con- gratulated for their efforts in presenting such a fine evening of entertainment. This may assist, you in avoiding the planning of too many events on one particular date. Our population.is approximately 1,850 and we think that too many of us have ourselves spread too thinly now. When possible, we should support any comm- unity event, but this is impossible when we have. three and four activities on one evening, and if you programme is a money-making project, you are def- initely going to suffer financially.
