APRIL 4, 1968 HIGHEST AWARD ATTAINED BY TWO SCOUTS Two Terrace Bay boys, Stan Megraw and Steve Payette, recently attained their Queen Scout Badges by satisfactorily completing the tests required to re- ceive the highest award in Scouting. On March 28, 1968, the two boys, accompanied _ by Scouter Reg Payette, travelled to Winnipeg to receive their Queen Scout-Certificate from the Right} Honourable Roland Michener, Governor General of Canada, Chief Scout for Canada. This is the first time a governor-general has attended such a cere- mony for this area in eleven years. J.C. Stewart, Provincial Commissioner, had this to say to the 100 Queen Scouts attending: "The rank of Queen's Scouts makes certain demands upon its holders as it sets them apart as those dedicated to the service of others. When you reach your majority and leave the troop, | hope you will continue this dedication and realize that you will always be Queen's Men". Shown in the photo below by M. Lundberg, are Terrace Bay's Queen's Men. From left to right: Steve Payette and Stan Megraw. C.G.1.T.
