Parker; also Mr. H. Kodila, local representative of the same organization, were guests of Terrace Bay Chamber of Commerce at a general meeting held last Thursday evening in the Recreation Centre. These gentlemen had been invited to acquaint Chamber members and representatives from the local Fish and Game Association with the department's feelings and plans on stocking Coho salmon in Lake Superior and on game preserves or provincial park in this vicinity. Nothing immediate is planned in either case but the Chamber of Commerce, whose in terests are directed to promoting anything which will be of benefit to the area, have asked to be kept in- formed of future plans. At the conclusion of this interesting discussion, the regular meeting was held with minutes read and adopted and treasurer's report approved. S. Kolesar reported distributing 550 brochures, and J. Kelty, membership chairman, reported that twenty members have responded to the reminder sent out recently. Correspondence included a letter from the "Voyageurs" who will present a forty-five minute program of slides (with narrative) in Terrace Bay early in May. The Chamber of Commerce will sponsor the program and hope to arrange two per- formances - afternoon for elementary school child- ren and evening for high school students and adults. Letters from Superior Airways asking for help in publicizing their flying service, and from the Town- ship of Atikokan who wanted support on a brief they are preparing for presentation to the Ontario Gov- ernment were dealt with.
