KIWANIS CLUB HONORS MR AND MRS. LEMAY OPEN LETTER TO REEVE AND TOWN COUNCIL To err is the common lot of humanity, but when repetition of the same error occurs within a short period then it demonstrates very poor ledgenert and carelessness . Sometime ago the town purchased Nae for the police car, from Schreiber, after receiving bids from two of the three local service stations operat- ing at that time. At the time no public complaint was made becau se it was felt that this gross irregularity would not be repeated. Last week the police car was brought into Schrei ber to have work done on the exhaust system. This operation could have been done very easily by any one of the four service stations in town. Why this brazen disregard for local patronage? Terrace Bay Enterprises, who has been in (Cont'd next column) TERRACE BAY NEWS PAGE 5 rn business for the last twenty years anghwho under the present management has done its utmost in providing proper services to the Community, challenges the right of the Reeve and Council to go out of town for services which are available locally by four au- thorized licensed service stations. This does not speak too well for, and is:a direct reflection on the efficiency and capabilities of the local service stations. I question the shameful disregard of taxpayers. This certainly reduces your Buy Local slogan to a comedy. (Cont'd on page 7) the victim of an uninsured driver you can claim damages from the Motor Vehicle Accident Claims Fund.
