The pall bearers were his son, John, of Port Arthur, son-in-law Nicholas Linkwich of Terrace Bay, his grandson Edward Linkwich of Shabaqua, R.F. Williams of Terrace Bay, David Rigelsford of Sch- reiber and Roy Kivisto of Shabaqua. Interment was in Schreiber cemetery. Mr. Kondrat is survived by his wife, Anna, two daughters, Vera - Mrs. N. Linkwich, of Terrace Bay, Mary - Mrs. Paul Maskiw, of Winnipeg, and one son, John, of Port Arthur. There are also five grandchildren and one great grandchild. Mr. Kondrat was born in Austria, coming to M Manitoba in 1909 where he farmed until retirement. In 1950 he and Mrs. Kondrat came to make their home with Mr. and Mrs. Linkwich in Terrace Bay. Attending the funeral from out of town were Mr. and Mrs. John Kondrat , Mrs. Paul Maskiw of Winnipeg and Edward Linkwich and Roy Kivisto, of Shabaqua. ROSSPORT Mr. and Mrs. Peter King and son Scott spent the weekend with the Eugene Gerow family enroute- home to MacDiarmid. - photo by Inez McCuaig Mrs, Anne Todesco was a business visitor to Port Arthur. Mr. and Mrs. Lionel Hubelit of Wawa visited the latter's parents, Mr. and Mrs. Mac Hubelit. John MacCauley of Fort William visited Alfred Ray over the weekend. Guests of Mr. and Mrs. C. Todesco over the week end were Mr. and Mrs. Jos. R. Dougl and Stew Anderson and Oliver Santala of Beardmore. School children 12 years of age and over are learn ing to curl twice a week with Mrs. Camilla Legault, Mrs. Josephine Gerow and Miss Patsey Gerow as in- structors. With Mrs. Camilla Legault as general convener, Si Berchman's Altar Society held a very successful Penn Auction Sunday evening in the School Community hall. Mrs. Edith Hubelit and Mrs. Agnes Legault looked after admissions while Mrs. Camilla Legault sold tickets on the stuffed toy with the winner being Miss Marion Prescott of Schreiber. Running off the penny auction were Mrs. Anne Todesco, Mrs. Mary © Schelling, Mrs. Felix Legault and Mrs. M. Hubelit. Coffee and buttered loaf cakes were served. Mrs. Tom Yandon hosted the Five hundred card club Wednesday evening. Prizes were won by Mrs. Hattie Yandon, Miss Patsey Gerow, and Mrs. Edith Ibey. Refreshments were served. (Cont'd on page 12)
