The evening Group of the Ladies Auxiliary of the Community Church met in the Sunday School rooms on January 3rd, with Vice-President Norine Coe in the chair. The meeting opened with a hymn with Ellen Hodgkiss at the piano. Mrs. Coe read a poem entitled The Key to Living is Giving. Minutes were read and adopt ed. A donation of $500.00 was made to the Manse Fund. The Manse Fund is a separate account, set aside for fur nishing the Manse. The account is being built up, possibly for furnishing a new manse, should the Church acquir its own manse, at some time in the future. A donation of $25.00 was made to thé Boy Scouts, to assist in their project of tiling the floor in the Scout House. The nominating committee will bring in a slate of officers.for the February meeting , and an animated discussion took place as to why the membership of the auxiliary seems to be at a low ebb. The past executive served lunch at the close of the meeting. ITS TIME. CURLING CLUB NEW YEAR'S PARTY The Terrace Bay Curling Club was gaily decorated to welcome in the New Year.
