ED'S B.A. SERVICE The stop that keeps you going Terrace Bay (Mill Rd. & Hwy I7) ph. 3251 Following is a letter received by the Centennial Commission, Terrace Bay from Mr. G.J. Moir, Confederation Caravan Manager: "Although it is just a few days since we left Terrace Bay, | am anxious to complete my letters of appreciation and this one is to you and your committee, to the Reeve Cavanaugh and his citizens, as well as to other population surrounding the area. . It was with a great deal of pleasure that | welcomed little Miss Rosalie Kettle to the stage, to activate the Canada Horn and officially open the Caravan. Such a little girl of eight years to endure such a medical problem is difficult, to say the least, and to her | send my very best wishes for much success in the future. Your opening ceremonies were rather unique in that the proficiency award to Betty O'Neil on behalf of the Wrenettes was an added item, but very suitable on the regular program. During my inspection of the Wrenettes, | must say that they were well turned out and very lady-like in their degree. It was unfortunate that Reeve Cavanaugh was unable to attend due to his illness but Rolly represented him in a most effective manner, and | trust that Ed is now well on the road to recovery. DV | would be remiss if | did not make mention the cléanliness in your very pretty town, and the friendliness and hospitality of the people within its environment. The reception with coffee, doughnuts etc. prior to the opening ceremonies was much apprec- iated by our whole group, particularly in view of the fact that rather cold weather was prevalent that morning. In closing, may | wish you and your committee, as well as in town of see Page
