SCHREIBER MINOR HOCKEY NEWS Coaches Needed! - The Fall meeting of the Schreiber Minor Hockey Association was held on Friday, October 13 in the basement of the Anglican Church with a number of interested persons on hand. After disposing of the minutes and financial statement the meeting, chaired by president Reg. Bailey, settled down to discussing new business on hand. The chief item presented was the creation of a new position of Program Co-ordinator, whose duties would be to look after the scheduling of all minor hockey games--regular and exhibition and to set up ice time for practice, etc. Harvey Car- michael of Schreiber accepted this position and it is hoped that anyone wishing to contact the Schrei- ber Minor Hockey Association will phone him at Schreiber 158. The election of officers followed--Reg . Bailey returned by acclamation as president - Frank McKen na was elected vice-president with Bill Stefurak being elected by acclamation to serve once again as Sec-Treasurer. A special committee headed by J.D.Bromley was set up to look after the raising of funds. Registration for minor hockey will be held in the Public School, Friday, October 20th from 7 p.m. to 8.30 p.m. with the fees being the same as last year--$1.00 for Mice on Ice and Beginners - $1.50 for PeeWee up to Juvenile with the bulk of the registration fees to go towards obtaining insurance coverage. The deadline for registration will be November 15th, 1967. It appears there will be a shortage of coaches this year, especially in the Mice on Ice and Begin- ners categories. Anyone interested in looking after these teams please contact Reg Bailey. If we can not get the necessary help we may have to cancel out hockey for these boys. If you are a parent how about taking your turn even once every two weeks at the rink and help out.
