LADIES CURLING CLUB BONSPIEL HELD Fourteen rinks entered in the Schreiber Ladies' Curling Club bonspiel. A dinner was served Saturday night. The Busy Bees of St. John's Anglican church, at their February meeting made plans for their annual Hat Show on March |6 and I7 when tea will be serv- ed. They also made plans for their sale of Hot Cross buns and Easter eggs. Mrs. Nellie Gerow is in McKellar hospital and Henry Miller was taken by ambulance to Lakehead hospital this week. hur. The Schreiber Gospel Mission is holding a special missionary week February 27 to March 5. On Monday February 27, a missionary on furlough from Ethiopia, Mr. Melvin Donald will be showing a sound film "The Tangled Mountains". On Wednesday, a special speaker will be present at the regular prayer service, and will,give a mess- age centred on missions. Sunday, March 5 , Miss Ann Ellis on furlough from India will be speaking, showing slides and displaying native costumes and crafts. All evening meetings begin at 7 p.m. Everyone welcome. Mrs. Bertha Lif took first prize, Mrs. Eileen Rouble second and Hattie Yandon the consolation when the Five Hundred card club met for their weekly game. Hostess Mrs. Prina Gerow had the luncheon table set with Valentine guest cards and other motifs. The heart shaped cake held the centre of the table and an enjoyable social hour was held.
