LEGION BANQUET HELD BRANCH 223 of the Royal Canadian Legion, Terrace Bay, held its Annual Banquet in the Curling Club Lounge, which was attended by more than one hundred Veterans, Legion and Auxiliary Members and their guests. Following the Cocktail Hour, members helped themselves from a sumptuous buffet spread that had been prepared by Heinz Schmeidchen and his Ladie's Committee under Banquet organizer Mr.Pat Jones. Grace was said by Father Gallagher and was followed by the Toast to the Qu een given by John Falzetta. Mr .Falzetta took the place of Chair- man Frank Ginn who was taken ill very suddenly. Seated at the Head table were Mr.& Mrs. C.Koski, Mr.& Mrs. John Ferrier, Rev.Dean Gallagher, Mr .&Mrs.W.Adamo, Mr.&Mrs . Paul Coupal and Mr.&Mrs. P.Jones. The Toast to the Fallen was given by { Jack Kelty, after which the President of the Ladies Auxiliary, Mrs.Cora Bajkiewicz presented the Chairman, Mr.J.Falzetta with a cheque from the Ladies Auxiliary to assist in the work of the Legion.
