Kennedy for two years and Mrs. F, Helmink for a one year term, WOMEN'S AUXILIARY EVENING GROUP MEET esident Lois Hopper presided over the January 3rd meeting of the Community Church W. A. She opened the meeting by reading a story and prayer. The Secretary's report and correspondence were read by June Schritt and the Treasurer's report by Betty Turner. Betty Sweet reported for the Sick & Visiting Commit- tee, Alice Farrow for the Altar and Eva Haughn for the Property Committee. It was agreed to give a donation to the Teen Town Club for thei Snow Festival. Lunch was served by the out- going executive. Election of officers for 1966 was post- poned until the February meeting. LEGION HOLDS NEW YEARtS FROLIC Members of the Legion and the Ladies Auxiliary, Branch 223, held a New Year's -- . frolic in the Legion Hall which was decorated with streamers and balloons. Dancing and a sing song were enjoyed followed by a buffet lunch, Mrs. D. Bougie made presentations to Legion President J. Falzetta, Auxiliary Pres. L. Solly and to Mesdames D. Coupal, S. Gusul and D.Ballentine. The ladies would like to thank all those who made this party a success. CHRISTMAS VISITORS Home for the holidays with parents and friends were the following;- Brian Hubelit from Pt.Arthur Collegiate; Gary Fraser from Lakeview High School; Gary Crandlemire of United College; Bill Garvin of University of Manitoba; Bob Hopper from Technical School in Kirkland Lake and Jean from Marymount School of Nursing in Sudbury; Bill Shivas and his friend Andy Gibson from Pickering College; Linda Hayes from St. Joseph College, North Bay Bob McMillan from Hammarskjold and Bob Mallais and Carl Connors from Gron Morgan Pt. Arthur. Helen Sinotte of St. Joseph School of Nursing; Susan Brooks from Kempville Agricultural School; Henry Gaulin of Central Tech, Toronto Ronald Doyle of Western University in London.
