Concluding they retired to the Church basement to watch the presentation of the pre-school and kindergarten group under Mrs. Marge Stevens and Mrs. Bea Williams as they played out the story of the Nativity. The toys and gifts presented at the three services will be shipped to the Childrens' Aid Society for distrioution. 6 months $1.25 1 year $2.50 CANDLELITE VESPER SERVICE The Candlelite Vesper Service held annually by the Canadian Girls in Training during the Christmas season was conducted Sunday evening in the Commun- ity Church. Blue and white mums, the C.G.I.T. colors, adorned the altar Sunday, and for the even- ing service a white candle burned in each Church window. Seated in the Choir loft and with Mrs.Marilyn Chisholm presiding at the organ, leaders and members led the congregation in the evening hymns. The first two readers were Pat Dodge and Jill Crandlemire second pair Karen Lundberg and Molly Harris and the last pair Beth Hopper and Christine Olsen. The candle lighters were Susan Graham, Judy Graham, Candice Neely, Brooke Rapke and Janice Beddard. The first anthem was sung by the entire member- ship "Coventry Carol" and for the second anthem Jill Crandlemire and Joanne Brown rendered a: beautiful carol "Joy to the World." Rev. T. Garnett Husser pronounced the Benediction., Ushering were Joan Williams and Janice Beddard and Mary Jane Hopper and Karen McLeod took the collection.
